My Client Relocates To The US

Since the inception of my project, My client had told me of her plans to relocate to the US from The Gambia. The relocation process finally took place but it greatly disturbed our communication and her ability to concentrate on write-ups for the website.

She wrote describing her current situation (9/04/06).

The Stress of Relocation: My Client's ill health further delays content delivery date.

17 March ’06 – Client Calls Off Ecommerce Feature

On the 17th of March, my client called off the e-commerce feature of the website. She apparently had done some investigation and concluded they "won't be ready to handle such" for now.

Design Disagreement

After explaining to my client the reasons why she should choose my second design which has a more professional look, I was asked to produce a prototype. I went ahead to build the homepage of the proposed website and hosted it on my private web space. I gave my client the URL and asked them to look at it and give their final approval before I build the other web pages. The design was disapproved in very strong terms.

My client replied my mail in which I presented two design options. My client chose my initial design, which I had amended (on advice) to reflect a less cluttered and professional look.

Internet Frustrations in The Gambia

After a break in updating my blog (due to circumstances beyond my control) I present a sequence of mails from my client in response to the design process of their website.

Internet Frustration

My client has been having some frustration sending me attachement which comprise of text content for her site and Pictures. Erratic power supply and slow Internet access has been the cause.

More Search Strategies

At my last Research Project tutorial, I got some new strategies that would help me get more materials for my essay. Somebody might find them useful.

I was having problems getting materials to support my write-up on the online experience of youths in developing countries. It was suggested that I use some other strategies.
The strategies are,

1. To search using Google scholar. This is at http://scholar.google.co.uk

2. To look for related real world examples and evidence.
3. To extend search to the use of the Media School Library.
